You can get to Lille in about :

Lesquin Airport is close to Lille (the low cost airline Ryanair connects it to major cities in Europe) but the easiest way to get to Lille from Britain or from across the Atlantic is to land at Roissy Airport (north of Paris) and take the direct train from Roissy to Lille (60 minutes).
How to get to Lille 3 University:
The University is only five stations away from Lille Flandres railway station.
From Lille Flandres, take the "4 Cantons" train (line 1) and get off at "Pont de Bois".
If you arrive at Lille Europe railway station, you have to change at Lille Flandres. Take the "Saint Philibert" train (line 2) and change at Lille Flandres. From Lille Flandres take the "4 Cantons" train (line 1) and get off at "Pont de Bois".
Lille has a wide range of hotels but only a limited number of rooms. We advise you to book your accommodation as early as possible.

Have a tea or a coffee with the waffles at Meert, at the entrance of the Rue d'Esquermoise, very close to the Grand Place, the best pastry shop in Lille, to visit also for its interior architecture.
